THREE GENERATIONS OF STORYTELLING

Anne Jensen is the inspiration for this book, and all the places and adventures and stories within these pages are based on her life, and are all true, even if they aren’t all in fully chronological order. She lived her life to the fullest for 90 years on this planet and found joy in every day. She was loved by all and was a stranger to none. Annie lives on in all of our hearts- friends and family alike. Hun skal leve, G-ma. We miss you. 

Morgan Longford is a California girl currently living in Texas. This is her first children’s book, but she is the author of many short stories and essays and has several memoirs and novels in the works. She is so honored to share the story of her grandma’s life and adventures with the world and feels particularly excited that she could make the story come alive with the illustrations of her 5-yr-old niece, Aspen Paige. Morgan would like to thank her sister, Mackensie, for guiding Aspen through the illustration process, and her husband for always believing in her and encouraging her to trust in her crazy ideas. 

Aspen Paige Waldschmidt is five years old and is the talented artist and illustrator of the first edition of Annie the Adventurer. She is the niece of Morgan Longford, and the great granddaughter of the original Annie. She has a big heart and an even bigger imagination. She spends her days doing arts and crafts of all types, making sure everything is bright and sparkly. She loves to sing, dance, and perform, and is an artist just like her “Auntie Momo.” She enjoyed working so hard on this special project to commemorate the life of her great grandma, Annie.
